Participatory project

“I would like you to..” was a participatory project made specifically for the exhibition titled “Touch and Go, Sixty oblique notations on social chaos and encroaching terror” that took place in London 2003. The original photo was taken from my mobile phone, showing on the screen a simple mundane four element text “mushrooms, broccoli, eggs and cheese”. Four photos were placed in four of the pillars inside the exhibition space. Under each one of the pillars there were A5 cards with a simple line drawing of a mobile phone screen. The visitors of the exhibition were asked to participate writing anything they wanted as a response, reaction to the text written on the mobile phone photo and place the card on one of the four pillars in the exhibition space. The collection of responses had comments about the exhibition, irrelevant messages, drawings, jokes and possible explanation what was the original text about.
