Participatory project

The event “Greek dinner” took place in London in February 2003. Nine guests, artists and friends were invited to participate, taste the food during dinner with all the participants and write about their experience. I prepared a menu that represented my personal view over Greek taste. The preparation lasted for a week since some of the ingredients were brought from Greece and cloth napkins were prepared especially for the occasion. After the dinner I revealed that I would like them to write about their experience on the cloth napkins they used through dinner.

Originally the napkins were shown hanged on the wall. The final artwork is the documentation of the project as photographs of the napkins folded in different shapes. The one that is presented here is the diamond shape.
