Silent fingers 2017

Through the process of exploring her relationship with jewellery and its connection to feminine beauty, the artist created the work titled "Silent Fingers." This artwork consists of ten photographs and one drawing. Developing artwork inspired by jewellery proved challenging for the artist, as she typically wore only one or two rings. Most of the jewellery she had was gifted to her by friends and family, each piece linked to significant moments in her life, such as birthdays, celebrations, her marriage, and the births of her children.

For this project, the artist invited friends—none of whom were professional models—to pose for photographs, showcasing imaginary jewellery that they did not actually wear. During the photo shoots, the artist and the models engaged in conversations about their relationships with jewellery: whether they owned any, if they had purchased them themselves, the occasions on which they wore them, and their personal favorites. Ultimately, the artist used the words shared during these discussions as inspiration to draw a ring on paper.
