Participatory Project

The project "I Am Here" was based on research about referendums, including the most recent one in the UK (2016), commonly known as the EU Referendum or the Brexit Referendum. The artist collected extracts from newspaper articles and online sources that discuss referendums and critique their outcomes. The artist handwrote the collected text in a ring-shaped drawing.

During the exhibition, white A4 papers were available for visitors next to the ring-shaped drawing. They were invited to participate by observing and drawing their hands in a pose that best represented their sense of presence. After completing their drawings, visitors placed them on the wall, where they became part of the exhibition.
