Installation
The concept of this artwork revolves around the educational learning system and the experiences of children during their school years.
The number 29291 was the serial number written on a plate attached to a found school desk. The artist experimented on the desk's surface for four months in preparation for a group exhibition. During this process of marking and drawing on the desk, a hexagonal shape emerged, although the actual school desk was not exhibited.
Instead, the final artwork is a hexagonal sculpture composed of 600 H4 hardness pencils, which are quite durable. Writing with this oversized pencil tears the paper beneath it.
The inspiration for creating this sculpture also came from reading Franz Kafka's short story "In the Penal Colony," published in 1919.
