Passeio do Tejo is a mixed media textile artwork made with crochet and found wood shaped like a heart. These vibrant sculpture patterns emerged from a process focused on bodily rhythms, sensations, and emotions during a period of grieving. The heart, as the body's core, is linked to blood vessels and pumps blood throughout the body. It signals life and gives rhythm to our being while feeling soft, heavy, or tight.

The wooden branch in this sculpture was found along the Lisbon riverfront of the Tegus during a walk with the artist’s son, who often collects wood to play with. The branch has a natural, untreated surface that softened after long exposure to water and sun.
